six years of screeds.

Who would have thought I'd still be finding stuff to gripe about?  When my brother bought me the domain name for this site, I figured I should at least post a few things on it, if only learn how to do it.  Lacking any actual content, I started writing about whatever was bugging me, which often as not centered on various aspects of the culture shock that came from leaving Atlanta to live in the Boston area.  Back then, the country was beginning to recover from the stock market crash following the internet bubble, the war in Afghanistan was winding down, and the war in Iraq was just getting started.  Plus ca change...

Faithful readers (both of you) will have noticed that I haven't been doing the greatest job at keeping up with posting on a timely basis in the last couple of years.  This is a result of many factors; among them, technical difficulties, occasional laziness, and a continual decrease in the free time required to continue this indulgence.  One thing that is not lacking, however, is source material; no matter how many of these I write, it seems like the world keeps finding new ways to tick me off.
